Gujarati Samaj in Finland organized a vibrant and joyous Janmashtami event, attracting Krishna devotees from various parts of India living in Finland. All gathered to honor the birth of Lord Krishna. The festivities were filled with cultural and spiritual activities, including devotional performances by children and an open mic session on "Lord Krishna - From My Eyes," where attendees shared their thoughts on Krishna's teachings.A key highlight of the event was the Matki Fod (Dahi Handi) ceremony, a lively and thrilling tradition where participants generally form human pyramids to break a clay pot filled with curd, symbolizing Krishna's childhood mischief. We celebrated it by showering chocolates from Matki for the little ones. The excitement and energy around this activity were contagious, making it a crowd favorite.Additionally, attendees enjoyed Panjari Prasad, a special offering made for the occasion. The celebration also featured warm food and freshly made snacks from various food stalls, adding to the festive atmosphere. Overall, the event was a beautiful blend of devotion, culture, and community, creating lasting memories for all who participated.
